program to serve as an introduction to geocaching.
Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.
Join the library on September 20th for an introduction to Geocaching. Learn how to use a GPS device to find a cache and locate your first. The event is perfect for adults and families - kids will need their parents' help. Geocaching requires a GPS device, so feel free to bring one if you have your own. We will have several GPS devices available and will split into groups to look for caches. We will start out at the library, walk down to the Hoover Nature Trail, and back up to the library at the end.
Please contact Nick if you have any questions.
